June 4 & 5 - Castroville Artichoke Festival now at the Monterey County Fair Grounds. Have some fun sampling artichokes with musical entertainment, arts and crafts. Admission: $10 adults and children over 3 $5. (831) 633-2465 www.artichokefestival.org

June 11 - Spring into Summer at The Farm in Salinas. Puppet shows at 10:30a.m. & 11:30a.m. Free hayrides until 1p.m. For more information www.thefarm-salinasvalley.com

June 12 - Mission San Antonio Fiesta. Head to Monterey’s South County and Fort Hunter Liggett (near San Antonio Lake) to attend the Fiesta Mass at this historic mission. It is a fun filled day for all beginning with a special Fiesta Mass at 11 a.m. ending with a procession from the church to the Fiesta grounds, signaling the beginning of the festivities that go until 4 p.m. A traditional oak-fired barbeque offers you a choice of half-chicken or tri-tip beef dinner. Dance to music provided by a lively variety of local bands. Purchase a homemade dessert, enjoy a glass of beer or wine, visit with local artisans and join in the fun of games for kids. June 17 - 19 - SpectorDance Spring Performance & Auction in Marina. SpectorDance presents 4 unique & inspiring performances! Plus, take part in a Silent Auction to raise funds for our programs & young performers. Great fun for all ages! Showtimes are Friday at 7p.m., Saturday 2p.m. & Sunday at 2p.m. Pacific Grove Pops Orchestra will perform with the dancers on June 18 and 19 at 2p.m. The Silent Auction: Featuring San Francisco Ballet Tickets, original art, gift baskets, jewelry, various spa services, and more! June 18 & 19 - SummerFest Arts and Crafts Fair at Custom House Plaza in Monterey. This annual favorite fills Custom House Plaza with beautiful art, handsomely made crafts, and live entertainment for the family. July 4 - 31st Annual Fourth of July Firecracker 10K/5K/Kids’ 1K Fun Run - Harvey West Park, Santa Cruz. This year’s featured beneficiary is LEO’s Haven, Santa Cruz County’s first inclusive playground for children with special needs.

Finish line party and free pancake breakfast for all runners. Free Parking on Race Day at Costco Santa Cruz Warriors Basketball is sponsoring a special TEAM Warriors package.
