April 2-23 - Humor and Children offered
by the City of Monterey. Humor and children creates intellectual
play, enriches vocabulary, consolidates a better memory, boosts
creative thinking capacity and reading skills and builds a sense
of humor. 5-6pm at the Youth Center.
April 5 - Wholesome Homemade Baby Foods at
Casanova Oak Knoll Park Center. Come learn how easy it
is to make wholesome, homemade bayb food for your baby and toddler.
Saturday from 9am-1pm. Monterey resident $30, other city resident
$39.
April 7 - 35th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at
Frank E. Sollecito, Jr. Ballpark (next to Dennis the Menace Park).
Kids only! There are designated hunt areas from tots (2 years old
& under) to 2nd & 3rd graders. The hunt begins at 10am sharp!

April 7 - Healthy Lunches for Healthy Children
at Casanova Oak Knoll Park Center. Make mealtime fun and
healthy for your child. Introducing healthy foods now is essential
for good health eating habits later in life. 6:30-8:30pm. Monterey
Residents $20, Other city residents $25.
April 8 - What's in Your Food? at Casanova
Oak Knoll Park Center. How to read the labels on the food
you buy. Learn how to read labels and identify ingredients to maintain
optimal health. Ages 18 and older. Tuesday, 7-8:30pm. Monterey resident
$15, other city resident $20.
April 11-May12 - Culture Kids at Casanova
Oak Knoll Park. Kids will hop on an imaginary plane and
travel to Japan, Egypt, Mexico and Russia. Kids will learn about
each country through cultural stories, crafts, games and foods.
Ages 6-12 years, Friday 3:30-4:30pm. Monterey resident $30, other
city resident $39.
April 12 & 13 - Annual Good Old Days
Celebration in Pacific Grove. Truly a fun event for the
entirefamily. Parade, carnival rides, miniature golf and the California
Police Motorcycle Competition. It’s one of the county’s
largest arts and crafts shows, with more than 225 arts and food

April 18 - 20 - Annual Wildflower Show. Nearly
700 species of California wildflowers at the Museum of Natural History
in Pacific Grove. For more information call 831-648-5716.
April 27 - Big Sur International Marathon - Hwy
1, Big Sur to Carmel. This marathon, consistently named the Best
Marathon in North America by The Ultimate Guide to Marathons, is
set along one of the most breathtaking routes in the world. Also
includes a 21-mile power walk, 5K run, 9-mile walk, 10.6-mile walk,
and marathon relay.

April 29 - Bicycle Maintenance at Casanova
Oak Knoll Park Center. Learn basic maintenance and safety.
You will learn how to inflate tires, change a flat, adjust brakes,
keep your bike lubed and basic helmet fit. Ages 18 and older, Tuesday,
7-9pm. Monterey resident $25, other city resident $33.
