October 4th - Pacific Grove's Annual Butterfly Parade & Bazaar. Local elementary school children welcome the monarchs to Pacific Grove during this annual parade 10:30am, followed by the Butterfly Bazaar behind the Robert Down School. More info: 831-646-6548 or www.pacificgrove.org

October 5 - St. Angela's Children's Center 19th Annual Fall Festival from 11am to 3pm. Tri-Tip Feast catered by Mansmith's Barbecue. $15 for adults, $5 for children. October 25 - Autumn Social at Monterey Bay Christian School in Seaside. Come enjoy a pumpkin walk, carnival games, food, fun and raffle tickets for a 40" Samsung plasma t.v.

October 14 - Monterey House Tour: Homes from the Past in Monterey. This self-guided tour features some of Monterey’s most interesting and beautiful homes, representing a variety of architectural styles and tasteful interiors. All proceeds from the tour benefit the Monterey Public Library. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the tour. Purchase tickets at the library or request tickets by telephone. Participants will enjoy singing, moving, listening and playing simple instruments while exploring musical concepts through motion in a social and creative environment. October 20 - Daddy & Me Spooky Halloween Baking Class at Hilltop Park in Monterey for ages 2-4 years. Here is an adorable workshop where daddies and children can spend some quality time together baking creepy cookies, singing songs and playing ghostly games. $25 for Monterey residents, $33 non-residents. October 31 - Fourth Annual “Pumpkin Pandemonium” at Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey. Fourth Annual Pumpkin Pandemonium and Community Trick-o-Treat on Halloween. Starting at 3pm. Farmer Mike, “The Picasso of Pumpkin Carvers”, will transform a 700lb. Giant Pumpkin from Borchard Farms into a three-dimensional work of art. Costumed children are invited to have their photo taken with the Giant Pumpkin, compete in the Costume Contests, create pumpkin-inspired fare at arts-and-crafts booths, and trick-or-treat throughout the center at Del Monte Shopping Center’s 85 retail shops.
